About Us

Our History

Founded in 2017, the Poultry Association of Tanzania (PAT) emerged from a collective vision of poultry stakeholders across the country. Recognizing the need for a unified voice in the industry, PAT was established as an apex association to bring together diverse groups within the poultry sector.

Our Mission

PAT serves as a central forum for all poultry-related associations in Tanzania, spanning the entire value chain. Our core mission is to represent and advocate for poultry farmers and stakeholders at both regional and global levels.

What We Do

  1. Advocacy: We work tirelessly to promote policies and regulations that support the sustainable growth of Tanzania's local poultry sector.
  2. Representation: PAT acts as the voice of the Tanzanian poultry industry in regional and international forums, ensuring our members' interests are heard and considered.
  3. Collaboration: We facilitate cooperation among various stakeholders in the poultry value chain, from farmers to processors to distributors.
  4. Knowledge Sharing: PAT organizes events, workshops, and training sessions to disseminate best practices and latest innovations in poultry farming.
  5. Market Development: We strive to create opportunities for our members by exploring new markets and promoting Tanzanian poultry products.

Our Vision

We envision a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive poultry sector in Tanzania that contributes significantly to the country's food security, economic growth, and rural development.
